The Holy Grail is the collector's quest: find every unique and set item in the game — and every rune. grailward tracks it automatically over the full catalog — 403 obtainable uniques, 140 set items across 35 sets, and all 33 runes.
Found once, found forever
Two sources feed the grail. Every backup is scanned for identified uniques and set items — on characters, mercenaries, corpses, in the shared stash, even socketed (a Rainbow Facet inside a helm counts). And the game's own Chronicle log, read from the shared stash, adds everything you found before your first backup — items long sold or lost still count, with the date the game registered ("found 3 Mar"). Once recorded, an item stays found forever: nothing ever undoes grail progress.
Reading the page
The whole catalog loads at once as a grid of cards. Found entries are lit, missing ones dimmed — the same visual rule as everywhere else. Each card's footer shows where the entry stands: Own now (it sits in a current save), Found, not owned (the grail remembers it but you no longer hold it — sold, lost, or found before your first backup), or Missing (never found). The progress strip up top carries the overall percentage plus the tally for uniques, set items and runes.
The filter sidebar narrows the grid, with three groups: Ownership (own now, found-not-owned, missing), Category (uniques, set items, runes) and Type (weapons, armor, and rings, amulets, charms & jewels). Chips within a group are OR; across groups they combine as AND — so "Missing" plus "Uniques" shows only the uniques you still need. The search box filters instantly as you type, and it matches set names too, so "tal rasha" pulls up every piece of the set. Sort by name or by most recently found, and switch between the detailed cards and a compact list. Turn on Compare, pick up to three entries, and open them side by side — each column shows exactly what its card does: your real rolls for what you own, the default ranges for what you're missing.
The inspector
Click any card to open its inspector. For an entry you own, it shows the item's real rolls — the actual values on your copy, its roll quality, and a line telling you where it is ("In: Kristan"). For one you don't own yet, it shows the possible rolls (the min–max ranges) plus a static reference of cube upgrade recipes and, for set items, the set's other pieces.
Details collectors care about
- The 8 Rainbow Facet variants are tracked individually, by element and trigger.
- Runes (the 33 of them, El to Zod) count the moment you hold one — loose or socketed. A rune stays found even after a runeword consumes it: found once, found forever.
- Unidentified items do not count until identified.
- The grail is account-wide: softcore and hardcore findings add to one collection.
