The Runewords catalog is a free, no-login reference listing every runeword in Diablo II: Resurrected — with its runes, allowed bases, sockets, required level, patch and full properties. Everything is on one page and works without an account.
Search and filter
The search box matches a runeword's name or any of its stats. The sidebar narrows the list further:
- Item base — weapons (and melee/missile/staff/polearm/scepter/claw), body armor, helms and shields.
- Rune & socket — pick one or more of the 33 runes, and the number of sockets.
- Offensive, Defensive, Skills, Misc & version — filter by the properties you're building toward, plus the era (LoD, D2R, Reign of the Warlock).
Filters in the same group are combined with or; different groups are combined with and — so "Body armor + All skills" shows body-armor runewords that grant +skills. The counter shows how many of the total match, active filters appear as chips you can remove one by one, and Reset clears everything.
Layout and compare
Switch between Detailed cards (with the full property list) and a Compact list. Turn on Compare, pick up to three runewords, and open a side-by-side comparison.
Runeword pages
Click any runeword to open its own page — a shareable URL with the runes in socket order, the readable bases, sockets, required level, patch and the complete stats. The properties are the same ones the armory shows in-game order.
This is a reference — it doesn't read your save and needs no account. Your filters are kept in the page URL, so you can bookmark or share a filtered view.
With an account
Signed in, the catalog lights up with your own runes. A strip above the list switches between Softcore and Hardcore (the two never mix) and shows how many loose runes that mode holds. Two chips filter the list by what your account can make right now:
- Ready to make — runewords you have every rune for.
- Missing runes — the rest.
Every card gains a status line for the active mode: a green Ready to make, or an orange Missing: … listing exactly which runes you still need, in socket order — repeats included ("Io, Io" means you need two). Flipping the mode toggle updates the status and totals instantly, without reloading the page.
What counts as stock:
- Loose runes on your characters (inventory, personal stash, cube, corpse) and in the shared stash of that mode.
- A socketed rune does not count — it has already been spent by its item.
- In the advanced Runes tab, the stored stack size is what counts.
